Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Location: Mid Kent

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join the New Product Development team within this well-established family firm.

Duties include:

• Designing and developing new products from concept visuals to prototype and production.
• Using Solidworks to produce accurate, detailed 3D models and drawings for manufacturing, prototyping, and rendering images.
• Keeping all internal records accurate and up to date on internal databases.
• Working well with colleagues and manufacturers to ensure smooth product development workflows and responsiveness to issues and queries.
• Meeting set target dates and budgets for new product projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree level or equivalent Design engineering qualifications.
• Experience producing detailed drawings for manufacture, including use of CAD and CGI packages (Solidworks, Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor).
• Solid technical and engineering experience, with good manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Pro-active and hands-on.
• Confidence working to tight deadlines.
• Commitment to innovation and development.
