Exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to lead service delivery for the Admin and Hub team within the Single Point of Access information, advice and guidance service. This respected organisation is a source of information and support to the public across East Kent, working on established projects with the County Council.

This is an interesting role providing first line management to an Admin and Hub team, with some liaison with the public at times.

Duties include:

  • Acting as first point of contact to your team, manging queries or problems with information, advice and guidance.
  • Delivering organisational goals and objectives through leadership, support and first line management of a team, including performance reviews and resourcing.
  • Identifying issues, queries, absences or changes that need to be escalated to the Service Manager and effectively sharing these.
  • Providing emotional support, information and guidance to members of the public via the support mailbox, and over the phone when necessary.
  • Liaising with contacts across the statutory, voluntary and independent sectors, including attendance at and contribution to meetings where appropriate, in order to ensure a broad knowledge and network of services and activities available in the area.
  • Modelling and enforcing compliance with all organisational policies and procedures, such as Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection.
  • Taking personal responsibility for own formal and informal development and training needs, keeping up to date with relevant policy changes and best practice, and sharing with Service Manager.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Team leadership experience, including reviews and appraisals.
  • Excellent understanding and experience of dealing appropriately with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Experience of providing accurate, timely information within professional boundaries to support others in making decisions.
  • Confident and effective communication skills across a wide range of audiences, including the ability to empathise and manage difficult and emotional situations in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail in careful management and recording of information, following established processes and requirements.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
