Job Title: Head of Operations

Salary: up to £40,000 DOE

Location: East Kent

Pearson Whiffin are looking for a Head of Operations responsible for ensuring legal, governance and finance processes for a Charitable company in East Kent.

The role is key in supporting the CEO to ensure the company meets its legal obligations and to optimise operational efficiency by ensuring operational systems and processes are effective and efficient.

Duties include:

• Responsible for leading and managing the operational aspects of the Charity and ensuring the company complies with its legal obligations
• Lead and line manage the operational team, ensuring they are motivated, developed, effectively supervised and appraised, including recruitment, appointment and training of new staff
• Work collaboratively with other members of the management team on delivering strategic and organisation-wide objectives
• Contribute to and support the cycle of strategic review and planning and implementation of the company's Strategic and Operational plans
• Provide support to the CEO and Chair to manage the administration of the Board and its committees and governance requirements
• Attend Board and Committee meetings as required, reporting on operational and governance matters
• Establish and maintain the operational structures needed to deliver and develop their services.

The successful candidate will have:

• University standard of education and/or a management qualification
• Experience of managing finance, HR, office systems and administration functions at a senior level
• Proficient in using software for information management and reporting e.g. Microsoft Office/365, CRM's and financial accounting software e.g. Quickbooks
• Knowledge of employment law, HR issues, systems and best practice
• Strong interpersonal skills (including presentational, public speaking, listening, influencing, diplomacy)
• Clear commitment to the development of an effective and efficient organisation
• Have excellent communication skills
