Behaviour Support Medway - Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Strood Immediate start available Salary: £100.00 - £130.00 p/day

In school behaviour support ensure the effective teaching and learning across a school by effectively managing challenging behaviour. They will work in a number of ways including with groups and 1:1 following school discipline and reward policies but also offering mediation and support sessions where appropriate. They will cover lessons and short term timetables in the absence of teachers in order to maintain positive behaviour relationships with a class. The role can be one of the most rewarding in the school for people wanting to work with the most vulnerable or difficult students.

To be considered for these roles you will need experience working with students of secondary school age. You could be a TA, LSA, Cover Supervisor, Youth Support Worker, SEND specialist or have experience in a pupil referral unit. Anyone with experience working with challenging secondary school students will be highly sought after.

I am working with a school in Medway to recruit a Behaviour Support worker for a role starting immediately or on short notice. The successful candidate will work between 7.30 and 3.30 daily and in addition to the normal management of behaviour will take part in regular meetings with external agencies and parent / carers.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Ability to work with groups of students of secondary age Strong behaviour management Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards Flexibility in approach to classroom delivery and learning material Willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom
