A very successful business based in Maidstone is looking to increase their Accountancy team with an experienced Accounts Assistant.

Working closely with the Finance Manager this will be a varied Accountancy role focusing on all aspects of the Finance function.

Due to the companies' growth over the last 12 months and exciting plans for 2020, this is a brand new role which offers excellent progression opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have over three years experience working within a fast paced Accountancy Function, be incredibly proficient with Excel and working towards being or already AAT Qualified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable process.
  • Managing supplier queries and assisting the Finance Manager with cashflow forecasts.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the Finance Manager with budgets.
  • Work with the Finance Manager to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Payroll
  • Support with Credit Control & Sales Ledger.

Person Specification:

  • Strong knowledge and experience using Excel.
  • AAT Qualified or studying towards.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Confident to liaise with key stakeholders.

Salary up to £28K DOE.
