A highly reputable business based on the outskirts of Whitstable is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team and manage the day to day operations of the Payroll department.

The core aspect of this role will be to oversee the preparation of the payroll runs inputting all relevant information and dealing with potential queries.

The successful individual will be experienced in all aspects of Payroll and can accurately process a payroll run from start to finish.

Ideally you will be CIPP qualified and have experience implementing a new Payroll system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payroll from start to finish.
  • Ensure all payments to employees are processed correctly.
  • Calculate employees' sick pay.
  • Calculate and process holiday pay.
  • Ensure all pension schemes are adhered too.
  • Deal with all payroll queries in a timely manner.
  • Implement salary increases and potential bonus payments.

Person Specification:

  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experienced with Payroll/HR systems.
  • Previous experience implementing a new system. (desirable, not essential)
  • CIPP Qualified (desirable, not essential)
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
  • Confident to approach employees to discuss potential issues.

Salary up to £26K.
