An opportunity has arisen to join a well-established business based in the North Kent area.

My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team on a 9-month contract however, this may be extended further.

Reporting to the Head of Accounts you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Processing sales ledger invoices and issuing to clients

- Reconciling incoming payments with invoices issued

- Coding of purchase ledger invoices

- Proactively involved with credit control duties including chasing outstanding debt and producing/updating aged debtor reports

- Managing the Purchase Order system making sure invoices match up correctly

- Assist with accruals and prepayment reconciliations

- Assist with any year-end analysis

- Ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Suitable candidates will ideally be AAT qualified (or currently studying) although not essential. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Due to the current lockdown situation this role may involve working from home partially or fully and will be assessed ongoing in line with the government advice.
