A very successful business based in Gravesend is looking to increase their Accountancy team with an experienced Accounts Assistant.

Working closely with the Finance Manager this will be a varied Accountancy role, however there will be a strong focus on Purchase Ledger.

Due to the companies' growth over the last 12 months and exciting plans for 2020, this role has become available due to an internal promotion.

The ideal candidate will have over three years experience working within a fast paced Accountancy Function, be incredibly proficient with Excel and working towards being or already AAT Qualified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable process.
  • Managing supplier queries and assisting the Finance Manager with cashflow forecasts.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the Finance Manager with budgets.
  • Work with the Finance Manager to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Payroll
  • Support with Credit Control & Sales Ledger.

Person Specification:

  • Strong knowledge and experience using Excel.
  • AAT Qualified or studying towards.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Confident to liaise with key stakeholders.

Salary up to £26K DOE.
