Area Sales Manager / South East / £35-40k + bens

We are recruiting for a fantastic and exclusive opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager with a background in Technical Sales and Construction to join my client to manage the South East region. This is a consultative solution led sales role which requires someone who has worked in this way previously.

Duties include:

  • To manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle. Providing one-on-one and group sales presentations.
  • To maintain contact with allocated clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • To identify and resolve client concerns.
  • To react to all new sales enquiries, either by telephone or email, in a quick and efficient manner ensuring all enquiries and quotes are promptly followed up.
  • To ensure that all provisional business and new enquiries are regularly chased.
  • To track customer information, forecasts and reports. Developing and maintaining prospect and customer lists based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads. Provide timely feedback to the UK Sales Manager on performance.
  • To maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales and activity reports.
  • To prepare correspondence and reports for the UK Sales Manager and other managers as required.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • To follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • To develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • To participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events.
  • To prioritise and programme own workload, to ensure effective delivery to meet targets.

We are looking for someone with a professional outlook, excellent communication skills and a proven track record in driving revenue through effective relationship building in a technical environment. Ideally you will come from Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering.
