Assistant Underwriter


£18,000 - £22,500 DOE

09:00am - 17:00pm (Mon - Fri)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Underwriter to join a large, successful and well reputed business in Manchester city centre.

Joining a diverse and friendly team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional first class service to a varied client base over the phone and by email.

Duties include:

  • Developing excellent relationships with all stakeholders, attending meetings, visits, review meetings and social events when required
  • Processing quotations and hold covers for brokers
  • Complying with all appropriate GDPR regulations, ensuring confidentiality is treated very seriously when speaking with customers / brokers
  • Managing your own portfolio of work
  • Demonstrating you have an excellent working knowledge of all the company products, procedures, underwriting guides and management
  • Providing general support to the team and helping with training as and when required
  • Working in line with processes ensuring you actively contribute to the growth targets, achieving and exceeding annual objectives that have been set to you
  • Ensuring a high level of service is given at all times continually representing a well respected company

  • A good grasp of the English language, both written and verbal

  • A minimum of six months industry experience is a must!
