Cost Estimator - (Soft Services or Facilities)

Hybrid working North Kent c. £40k DOE

Mon - Fri (40 hours)

An exciting new opening for an experienced Cost Estimator has arisen for our well-established client based in North Kent.

The desired candidate will have previous experience working within the cleaning industry with the ability to work on multiple complex costings simultaneously!

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the new business tendering process via the production, design, and consideration of cost solutions
  • Creating competitive cost solutions for cleaning services via Excel, actively collating data of third-party supplier costs
  • Presenting completed figures and new findings internally and externally
  • Providing essential support to the Sales department assisting to achieve new business and sales growth target
  • Data specification review and analyses on relevant costs
  • Forecasting the financial and other resources needed within a define scope and schedule
  • Undertake regular training when required
  • Project and admin support across the board

Mandatory skills:

  • Have the ability to self-manage own workload, establish effective relationships and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in the Cleaning / Soft Services estimating industry desirable
  • Ability to work on multiple complex costings simultaneously
  • Familiarity with both Public and Private Sector costing perimeters
  • Analytical with the ability to work with technical data
  • Flexible to suit the business needs
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Please note; security clearance is also required
