We are delighted to be representing a fantastic business in their search for a commercially aware Account Manager to join their established sales team.

Duties include:

  • Developing long term, genuine relationships with a portfolio of existing clients in a set geographical area
  • Strategically generating growth across your accounts and expanding customer base through self-generation of sales leads
  • providing quotations and actively following up to close sales
  • Ensuring all customer requirements are clearly defined when taking sales order, to avoid any customer dissatisfaction or financial loss
  • To ensure the area monthly sales budget is achieved
  • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue
  • Actively self-monitor profit performance throughout the month in relation to the budget.
  • Monitor profit performance for each customer, with a view to maximising the potential profit of each account. Maximising potential may come from, range selling additional products, price increases, addition of ancillary charges etc
  • To maintain good concise customer records, ensuring the CRM systems is updated with contact details, special prices, and any other special instructions alongside leads and competitor information
  • Delivering exceptional customer service with a view to retaining and developing business
  • Ensuring accounts remain engaged and loyal
  • Upselling where possible
  • Exceeding KPIs consistently

The right candidate will have/be:

  • An experienced account management professional with a 'long term relationship build' mentality
  • Previous experience within a B2B environment
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Packages
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A strong understanding of numbers is essential
  • A persistent personality with the drive to succeed
  • Flexible, adaptable, and positive
  • Confident and innovative
  • Good organisation skills with experience managing multiple priorities
