A highly reputable organisation based in Ashford is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join their fast paced accounts team.

Supporting the Assistant FD you will be required to assist with the day to day operations of the finance department.

The successful individual will need to be AAT qualified or close to completing their final exams and have a passion to develop a career within finance.

Although this role is a permanent position, someone looking to work part time hours may be considered depending on experience and skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the operation of the accountancy department ensuring all processes are adhered too.
  • Prepare payroll on a monthly basis including new starters, processing leavers and submitting all relevant information to HRMC.
  • Support the FD with monthly management accounts.
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Update all finance systems with financial data whilst maintaining accurate records.

Person Specification:

  • AAT Qualified or close to finishing your final exams. (QBE may be considered DOE)
  • Maths and English GCSE, at least C or above.
  • Experience of running payroll and manually inputting data.
  • Experience using a specific financial software package.
  • Ability to plan and manage your own workload.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.

This role is available immediately for the ideal candidate; however notice periods will be considered.

Hours are 35 a week, although part time hours may be considered DOE.
