My client, a well-established global company are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder with proven experience to join their busy team based in their head office in Dartford.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the logistics sector, experience in working within Freight Forwarding and be super organised, methodical and able to manage multiple priorities.

Duties;

• Planning route shipments considering the nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security
• Processing export requests where required
• Monitoring exports travel until delivery within the timeline required
• Ongoing communication with clients updating all on shipment progression and any issues via telephone and email
• Producing quotations to customers and following up
• Processing customs declarations through ASM Sequoia software in accordance with instructions and HMRC compliance
• Understanding of HM Revenue and Customs regulations, always adhering to destination specific documentation requirements

The Successful candidate will have/be;

• Proven experience working within a Freight forwarding role
• Be super organised with the ability to multi-task
• Have exceptional interpersonal skills
• Enjoy customer service and have the ability to develop good professional relationships
• Have a meticulous attention to detail combined with high standards professionally and personally
• Be proficient using Word, Excel and Outlook
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
• Have experience working to deadlines and have the drive to achieve targets
• A desire to learn and build on knowledge
