Job Title: HR Business Partner - 9-month fixed term contract

Salary: £42 - 48,000 pro rata

Location: Maidstone

Exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join this large, forward-thinking organisation on a 9-month fixed term contract!

Working within a team of 4, alongside consultants from other departments, you will have excellent experience providing HR support throughout the employee lifecycle on both individual and team projects.

Duties include:

  • Guiding and promoting good HR practice by building and developing relationships of trust with stakeholders.
  • Providing knowledgeable, strategic HR advice to support the design and implementation of effective change management projects and processes.
  • Supporting managers with their understanding and application of key HR policies and procedures, challenging and advising as appropriate.
  • Developing management capabilities through one-to-one coaching and workshop delivery.
  • Offering specialist HR expertise for managers dealing with complex cases such as sensitive employee relations issues.
  • Completing job analysis work in order to contribute to the job evaluation processes, working alongside managers to agreed SLAs.
  • Identifying opportunities for in-house consultants to deliver initiative and interventions in line with agreed strategic objectives.
  • Effectively using data and systems available to monitor trends, assess risk, and identify any issues. Presenting and implementing creative and robust solutions to address these.
  • Championing the health, wellbeing, equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion of all employees.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Solid experience within an HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience of providing HR support through organisational change and restructure.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a unionised environment/ with employee representatives.
  • Confidence and experience supporting managers through complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Thorough, demonstrable knowledge of HR matters, particularly employee relations, including talent management and absence management, as well as relevant legislation and best practice.
  • A good understanding of GDPR and its application.
  • A resilient and confident personality, without being abrasive.
  • The ability to build effective trusting relationships, with influencing and coaching expertise.
  • Confidence interpreting complex information from multiple sources, synthesising to present creative recommendations for a way forward.
  • Experience developing and presenting robust project plans and business cases.
