Fantastic opportunity to join an established and successful independently owned business in Medway as HR Manager.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage a team of three and work alongside the Senior management team. This is a generalist role, requiring a strong all rounder who is super organised and has solid experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.

We are only able to consider graduates with CIPD Level 7 for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall provision for Human Resources and training across the business
  • Leadership and coaching of a team of two to three
  • Recommending innovative practices to develop the culture and engage the workforce
  • Coaching and developing managers in all aspects of people management
  • Ensuring disciplinary and grievance processes timely to achieve objectives and support and advise where required
  • Drive a high performance culture, ensuring that people management processes are completed to drive employee engagement
  • Ensuring that all training records are accurate and up to date and development plans are in place
  • To provide professional knowledge, advice and support to the management team
  • Manage the time and attendance system for all employees and train new employees and managers in the usage of the system
  • Managing the recruitment process for the business
  • Reporting of management information including employee turnover, absence and manning levels and preparation of monthly reports

You will have/be:

  • CIPD qualified
  • A graduate with a 2:1 or above in a relevant subject - this is essential
  • Excellent proven interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels
  • Positive and proactive, happy to manage an ever changing workload and work closely with the SLT in order to deliver their company goals
  • Innovative, confident and passionate
  • Exceptional strategy and leadership skills
  • An excellent working knowledge of employment law
  • Previous experience of leading a successful team
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing and or unionised environment ideally
  • A proven track record of success in HR Management
