We are currently recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for an established company in East Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity to support the team in delivering technical infrastructure projects whilst being able to work remotely.

Duties may include:

• Providing infrastructure support to the business
• Producing and updating infrastructure documentation
• Liasing with internal teams and third party stakeholders
• Resolving infrastructure support tickets, ensuring a quick resolution and escalating when necessary
• Maintaining local and cloud virtualization and storage infrastructure
• Assisting with the leadership and training of the infrastructure and service desk teams
• Performing hardware upgrades, performance tuning and resource optimization as well as reporting on performance
• Ensuring all systems are patched in line with the patching schedule
• Ensuring that daily backup operations are successful
• Maintaining and testing the Disaster Recovery Plan
• Planning, owning and managing technical projects

The successful candidate will be/have:

• Strong background supporting Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/Group Policy, Exchange and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of Virtual and Cloud environment, ideally Azure and VMWare.
• Experience with SAN and backup solutions, such as Veeam.
• Any knowledge of HPE architecture would be a real advantage
• Experience of delivering technical projects, upgrades, migrations and rollouts being the main focal point
• If you have any experience in other technical areas such as SQL Server, VB/Powershell scripting, server security and other industry standards are desirable.
