MECHANICAL FITTER

Pearson Whiffin are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to carry out preventative maintenance work for a business that is critical to supporting the continuation of supply chain within the UK.

Main Duties you will be required to fulfill:

• Carry out maintenance work on all mechanical equipment on site
• Speak with team leaders regarding scheduling opportunities, and any changes that would need to be made to ensure the best possible use of mechanic's time
• Be involved in multi-skilled opportunities
• Cover any other duties, working as a team
• Ensuring you have good relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external

For this position you must have/be:

• Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter, within a similar environment
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Able to work under pressure and in extremely busy environments
• Excellent fault-finding skills
• A Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent
• Awareness of health, safety and first aid policies
• Excellent multitasking skills
