Fantastic, exclusive opportunity for an organised and reliable Office Manager with a background in Manufacturing/ Engineering to join my client, an Engineering company based in West Kent.

You will not see this role advertised anywhere else!

This is a brand-new role, created due to success and growth of the business, and consists of a variety of duties including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring efficient operation of the office; monitor and maintain general office facilities and equipment; managing petty cash
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the team: covering reception; diary, email and post management; organising travel, hotels, delivery, couriers and order office supplies; supporting the Chief Executive with some PA duties
  • Document Control duties electronically
  • Basic administration to support the Sales, HR and Finance functions including raising Purchase Order numbers and collating sales statistics and other reports; managing employee records; payroll input
  • Any other duties as required

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • An experienced and proactive Administrator with experience as an Office Manager/PA/Team Assistant within Engineering/Manufacturing
  • A solid CV demonstrating reliability
  • Good at picking up IT systems, and able to use MS Office to at intermediate as a bare minimum, ideally advanced level and with a good ability to research online
  • A natural problem solver able to think creatively
  • A positive outlook
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships
  • A strong multi-tasker, able to juggle a variety of priorities
  • Educated to a good level, with the ability to pick up technical or complex terminology
  • A good grasp of the English language with the ability to use correct grammar and proofread to a high standard
  • Happy to work in an industrial environment - this is not a glamorous office!
  • Able to commit to full time hours in the office
