New Job - PE Teacher

Based close to Sittingbourne and Maidstone in Medway, Central Kent, this school are seeking a teacher of PE to cover a short term contract starting in Easter 2021. The job is likely to run until July 2021 on a full time contract basis.

You will work in a fun and supportive department delivering core PE lessons and KS3 Maths. You will need to have experience working in a secondary school or a similar setting with secondary age students. You will be engaging and enthusiastic about Sport and PE and be comfortable, managing challenging behaviour if it becomes necessary. You will also have a basic understanding of Maths taught at Y7.

To succeed in this role you should be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of teaching or coaching secondary age students in PE
• Experience working with groups of students in an environment where health and safety is paramount
• An understanding of the PE curriculum at KS3 and GCSE
• An ability to engage, enthuse and challenge secondary age students whilst maintaining classroom discipline
