Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) Maidstone Based Job Immediate start available Salary: £80.00 - £100.00 p/day

A Special Needs Teaching Assistant job can be one of the most rewarding in the education sector. In this role you will work with an individual student with complex needs and requiring a high level of care. You will support them in mainstream classrooms to access and complete school work. You will ensure that your advice and support is bespoke to the student and their needs taken careful consideration to their special needs diagnosis and EHCP. You will further support them during social times, i.e. lunch time.

To be considered for this role you will need experience working with students of primary or secondary school age. You will ideally be a TA, LSA or Support Worker with SEND experience willing to start a full time role in September 2022 in Maidstone.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role will initially run until January 2022 but could be permanent for the right candidate.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Ability to work with individual students with complex needs Good working knowledge of SEND Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards A calm but assertive approach to instructional direction A caring and empathetic nature when handling sensitive situations
