Duties include:

  • Providing a telephone triage, assessment, and support service to Carers, directing each call to the most appropriate team member.

  • Contributing case studies and evaluations of the service for management to use in service planning, newsletters and promotional materials.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy, with excellent administrative skills.
  • Experience of working with people with care needs and/or Carers, and an understanding of their needs.
  • Ideally, some knowledge of Social Care and NHS processes, including around hospital discharge, and care funding.
  • A very high standard of personal integrity and an understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and discretion when dealing with very sensitive personal information.
  • A lovely, reassuring manner with the ability to build rapport quickly and provide open and non-judgemental support.
