Our Paddock Wood based client are looking to recruit a Fabrication Assistant.

The successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic and will enjoy working within a team and also leading and engaging to drive operation. This role is very responsible and is an opportunity to develop long-term into a Fabricator.

Responsibilities

• Kitting and issuing parts for all fabrication jobs
• Component and sub-assembly fabrication - drilling, spot welding, cutting, rolling
• Learning and supporting the saw
• Department housekeeping
• Other tasks required by the Team Leader

Essential skills

• Technically minded
• Mechanical interest such as cars
• Experience working in an Engineering Workshop a benefit
• Able to read Engineering drawings a benefit
• Experience using equipment - pillar drills, grinders and pneumatic tooling
• Counter balance forklift licence an advantage
